Book Clubs and Book Chats

Enjoy talking about books and authors – join one of our social Book Chats, or start your own Book Club.

A Book Club or Reading Group is a group of people who all read the same book at the same time, and then get together to discuss it. A group leader will often help guide the group. Meetings can be as casual or formal as you like, and can be located anywhere from the library to home to the local cafe.

A Book Chat is a group of people who get together to discuss what they are currently reading. This is a great way to share some of your favourite books with other people, and also get recommendations for something else you might enjoy reading.

Contact your local Branch Library for ideas or assistance with creating or joining a Club or Chat.

The Library provides books to registered Book Clubs, see the current 2022 Book club list of titles.
